CO2 Laser Therapy

Laser Skin Resurfacing Therapy for Pigmentation, Blackhead and Oil Cyst Removal Mole, Keratoses and Viral Wart Removal

Downtime Variable depending on area or number of lesions treated

This is a skin resurfacing therapy which uses an ablative laser machine operating in the 10 600 nm range to ablate deeper lesions such as small moles, blackheads, oil cysts, keratoses and viral warts. It can also be used to treat thick patches of pigmentation.

The CO2 laser targets both the surface and the lower layers of the skin in a stepwise manner removing deep lesions from the surface skin and penetrating deeper into skin tissue stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.

In Asian skin types, it is necessary to pre-treat the area to be treated with lightening agents and sunblock to minimize the risk of recurrent pigmentation.

The procedure is carried out in the surgicentre and is done under local anaesthesia. There is no associated downtime.
