Surgery for the Removal of Benign or Malignant Lesion for Tissue Diagnosis
These procedures are carried out to remove unwanted lesion when a tissue diagnosis is required. This applies for larger moles and other lesion where there is doubt about the diagnosis.
This surgery is usually done in the clinic procedure room under local anaesthesia and sometimes under sedation or general anaesthesia if the patient requires it. The patient usually requires removal of stitches at 5-6 days after surgery. There is no associated downtime.
