Musings After One Year of Not Travelling

February 26, 2021 | Travel

The Iphone Photos app has a feature which reminds you of what you were doing “On This Day” last year. It’s a good feature but this year it has served to remind me that we haven’t travelled for one year. We were lucky enough to have travelled just before Covid 19 shut everything down. It was a close thing. A concerned waitress in an Italian refugio asked us if we were from China. And then travelling home 2 Feb 2020 with Singapore Airlines stewardesses all masked up. I enjoy looking at those photos and reliving the trip. It was a good time.

Covid 19 has forced all of us to stay home, cool our heels, take a pause and appreciate our country, our homes and our loved ones. I have been looking up, looking around and looking at the people I care about with fresh eyes. There is a lot to see, savour and love.
